It was great to connect with a truly international group of experts in Gromov-Witten theory, Donaldson-Thomas theory and related fields. The field is developing rapidly, and I was able to learn of many developments that are yet to appear in the literature. I re-connected with many friends and collaborators, and met many new mathematicians, including new postdocs and even current graduate students. That the participants ranged from experts (Fields medalists) to students was a real asset to the workshop. I have a better understanding of the current research landscape -- the scope and thrust of current projects -- because of this workshop.

It definitely impact my research in a very positive way, giving a more general vision of the current achievements, and it allowed me to directly talk with people involved in research projects very close to mine.
