In May 2023, I attended the Mathematical Methods in Cancer Biology, Evolution and Therapy workshop at the BIRS Banff Campus. Of all the workshops I have attended during my PhD, this was the most stimulating, insightful, and productive. I can place the success of this workshop on three factors: presentations and feedback from the top researchers in the field of mathematical oncology, flawless organisation and hospitality from both the conference organisers and the BIRS staff, and a breathtaking location in the heart of Canada that inspired conversation, collaboration and innovation. It was a privilege to be invited to this meeting.

This workshop was a great mixture of researchers in computational biology and biostatistics, as well as senior and junior researchers. I have benefit it so much by learning from people with different backgrounds!
