One of the most productive and useful scientific meetings I have attended was the BIRS-CMI workshop on rational points in 2024. It was a great opportunity to meet up and coming young researchers in the field as well as to reconnect with colleagues and collaborators. The environment at the CMI was perfect for discussing future work plans. I expect that at minimum a grant application will come out of these conversations.
