Description

The Banff International Research Station will host the "Toric Topology and Polyhedral Products Collaborative Network" workshop in Banff from July 26 - 31, 2026.

The goal is to bring together researchers of different experience levels, from advanced graduate students to established mathematicians, in order to jointly work on research projects on topics of common interest within Toric Topology and Polyhedral Products.

The focus of the workshop will be on active collaboration in teams, and while the weeklong workshop will be the most condensed part of the collaboration, it is expected that a significant amount of work on the projects will be done before as well as after the workshop. It is expected that at least one research paper be produced from each collaboration which will be published in a workshop proceedings after obtaining referees' approval.

The Banff International Research Station
for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery (BIRS) is a collaborative
Canada-US-Mexico venture that provides an environment for creative
interaction as well as the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and methods
within the Mathematical Sciences, with related disciplines and with
industry. The research station is located at The Banff Centre in
Alberta and is supported by Canada's Natural Science and Engineering
Research Council (NSERC), the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF),
and Alberta's Advanced Education and Technology.
